Backseat Runner Privacy Policy

• We do not run any servers for this game, and we do not receive or keep any personal information about you.
• The game uses three Google services: Google AdMob (ads, with Google's consent tool), Google Play Billing (purchases) and Google Play Games Services (sign-in, leaderboards and cloud saves). Google collects some information when the game uses them, as described below and in Google's own policies.
• Your game progress is stored on your phone and, if you use Play Games, in your own Google account.

The game keeps a save file on your phone: your levels, stars and best runs, coins and gems, items and cosmetics, your settings and control layouts, the dates you played the daily level and claimed streak rewards, timestamps of when the save was written, a record of your purchases (Google Play's purchase token, the product, and when it was granted, so purchases can be restored and are never granted twice), and two random identifiers the game creates itself to merge saves between devices. These identifiers are not your phone's hardware ID, its Android ID or its advertising ID. We never receive this file.

If you are signed in to Play Games, Google provides sign-in, leaderboards and cloud saves:

• Cloud save: a copy of the save file described in section 2 is stored in your Play Games Saved Games, in your Google account, so your progress can move to a new phone.
• Profile: the game reads your Play Games player ID and gamer name to show your own place on a leaderboard. It does not store them.
• Leaderboards: your distance scores are sent to Play Games leaderboards. Other players can see your gamer name and scores, and you can see theirs, according to your Play Games visibility settings.
• Google's Play Games Services also collect diagnostic and usage information about the service itself.

Play Games is optional: the whole game works without it.

The game shows ads through Google AdMob. Before any ad is requested, Google's consent tool (the User Messaging Platform) checks where you are; in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, and in US states with privacy laws, it asks for your choice first. Your choice is stored on your phone by Google's tool, and you can change it at any time from the game's settings.

When ads are shown, Google collects information such as your device's advertising ID and app set ID, your IP address (which can be used to estimate your general location), and how you interact with ads, and uses it for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. If you do not consent to personalised ads, Google shows limited or non-personalised ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on the phone). Rewarded ads are always your choice: the game only plays one when you tap an offer to watch it.

Purchases are handled by Google Play. Your payment details go to Google and never reach the game or us. The game receives a purchase token from Google Play to confirm and restore what you bought.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, precise location, or messages, and the game asks for no permissions to them. The game contains no analytics or crash-reporting service of ours. If that changes, we will update this policy before the change reaches you.

We hold no information about you, so there is nothing for us to delete. You can delete:

• the data on your phone: clear the game's storage (Settings → Apps → Backseat Runner → Storage → Clear data) or uninstall the game;
• your cloud save, scores and Play Games profile: in the Play Games app or your Google account settings (myaccount.google.com), where Google lets you delete your Play Games data;
• your advertising ID: in your phone's settings (section 4).

Backseat Runner is made for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. Ads are requested with the setting for users who are not under the age of consent.

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change affects how information about you is collected or shared, we will say so in the game before it applies.
